Carrie

Carrie is a slightly off-kilter Stephen King novel. It's written in a very interesting style, with many fictitious "clippings" from journals and newspapers. It reads almost like a research paper into these strange happenings from so long ago, with flashes into what really was happening.

I definitely wouldn't rank this as one of my favorite Stephen King novels although it's short enough that it's not too bad of a read. From what I can tell, it appears to have been his first novel that was published and from that perspective it shows how his writing has progressed through the years. It's short enough that it shouldn't cause too much pain to read.
